IFA Websites : Our Terms

Our Terms and Conditions - don't worry, it's all pretty simple

To make the service to IFAs and Financial Planners straightforward: we have kept the terms of business for our sites as minimal as we can.

There's no tie-in period, but we ask for 2 months notice if you leave. After an initial deposit of £200, you will pay the remainder of the setup fee and monthly fee 2 months after your order date. If your site is launched before the agreed date, then any outstanding payments due will start from the launch date.

We usually send you the first draft of your completed website within 2 to 3 weeks, depending on how busy we are.

We ensure that we keep your site up and running to the best of our ability.

IFA Website Setup

We have a nominal setup charge for templated sites and we'll make some bespoke changes (within reason) for no extra charge.

We will initially use our standard text for your pages as a starting point then add or amend pages as you wish (no extra charge).

We will also upload your Client Agreement provided and any other amendments you may require as well as quarterly customised Newsletters.

We include 3 free images from Istock: istockphoto.com as well a large selection of pre purchased images that we have. Here is a very small selection: .. of just some of our images »

Website Hosting

We will need you to register your domain name with your own internet service provider (if it's a new website), so that your website can be found under that address. When the time comes to launch your site we will ask you to amend the "A" records for that domain or change the nameservers for your domain to ours. We will assist with that stage.

Financial Conduct Authority Compliant Content Assured

We are used to working closely with the major Networks to obtain approval of our sites, and endeavor to use the relevant Regulatory Statements and warnings, although each Network often require differing warnings.

Once you have confirmed you are happy with the site as set up, we need to pass it to your compliance officer, whether in-house or through your Network. Once approved we'll make your site live.

We will contact you to ensure that your site is reviewed each year, liaising with your Network if applicable, as part of our monthly fee. If more frequent reviews are required then we are happy to do for free again (within reason). If we do need to make a charge we will always give you a quote before doing any work.

Browser Compatibility

Our websites have been tested with all current major browser software, to ensure they can be reliably viewed by as many people as possible.

Updating of your site

We offer you an IFA Designer who will update your site for you as soon as we can. Unless you happen to send a regular stream of updates over a short period, then it will need to be scheduled in. Most updates will be done free of charge (*unless you need an excessive amount of change for your finished site). Please note: If you want to change the text on your own pages you may need to obtain approval from your compliance officer before adding it to the live site.

Search Engines, Metatags and Google Analytics

We will add page and description metatags to each of your website pages to gain maximum SEO Optimisation, which will help with the search engines and rankings in Google. If requested we are more than willing to help you manage the statistics of your website by adding Google Analytics and Webmaster Tools.

Backing up and security

We take regular backups of all the sites we manage.

IFA Website Costs

Our monthly costs are as displayed on our website. Once you have ordered your site, We will never review or vary the monthly cost that you pay. We value you too much as clients to make increases to your site fee. It has always been our policy to provide a comprehensive service at an affordable price.

IFA Website Payments

After an initial deposit, monthly payments will be taken by standing order to commence when your finished site is published, or within 2 months of the order date, whichever is the sooner, as will your setup cost.

We prefer monthly standing orders to minimise our admin, that way we can keep our prices down. Although we can invoice quarterly (in advance) if you prefer.

Cancellation of your IFA Website

You can do so at any time, though we'd rather you told us if there's anything you're not happy with. There is no tie-in period but we do ask for 2 months notice.

The Intellectual Property Rights on the design and coding of any site based on your website resides with IFA Web Pro. The contents and images of your website which are provided by IFA Web Pro remain our property and may not be reproduced in any form without our written permission.

IFA Web Pro cannot be liable for any legal action which might arise from the illegal use of any text or images which are supplied by you for the site we are setting up for your advisory firm but which have been copied from another site, or used without permission, copyright or licence to so use them.

Our Right to disengage our Services

It's certainly not something we often do. Once we have progressed past setting your site up. If we then proceed for more than 3 months without your monthly payment; we have the right to disengage our services.

Our prices are kept low because of our low admin costs. Chasing payment needlesssly, isn't something we intend to spend our time doing.

Looking after our clients is our priority.

Limit of Liability

Although we always strive to give our clients an excellent service, IFA Web Pro cannot be held liable for any direct or indirect loss due to interruption or delays to our service. We shall not be held liable for any loss or damage caused by the use, misuse, unavailability or removal of any the services provided by IFA Web Pro or our partner firms.

Variation of your IFA Website Terms

We reserve the right to vary these Terms at any time by giving you a minimum of 1 month's notice by e-mail to the latest email address we hold for you.
